Where We Wonder 12”x12” oil painting was inspired by a photo I took on a walk with my family in a Calgary park. After wondering off the path to explore, I headed back and snapped a photo. I liked the composition for a square canvas and started out painting.

Like most of my paintings, Where We Wonder was named as it came to life. Looking back from the small trampled down path, you can see the well paved path weaving through the hills. This got me wondering, why some of us like the smooth, easy path, and others the uncertain adventure off the common trail?
