King of the Coop 9”x12” oil painting, was inspired by a rooster I’d taken a picture of awhile ago and kept thinking about. I’m not sure why I HAD to paint him. I’m not particularly fond of chickens and downright dislike roosters (had some real mean ones when I was a kid), but I find them beautiful and fascinating all the same.
So, long story short, here’s the King of the Coop looking out over his kingdom, from his fancy, freshly painted, green coop.
